Pada Kompetisi Paduan Suara Internasional Tokyo 2023 yang bergengsi, mereka meraih medali emas dalam kategori Musik Kontemporer & Interpretasi Terbaik Karya Musik Kontemporer, menyoroti bakat luar biasa mereka.

Setiap tahun, Tokyo menjadi tempat pertemuan bagi suara-suara paduan suara terbaik dari seluruh dunia.
Ini adalah platform di mana negara-negara mengirimkan paduan suara terbaiknya, masing-masing grup bernyanyi tidak hanya untuk kemenangan tetapi juga untuk kebanggaan nasional.
Di tengah banyaknya talenta internasional, prestasi PSM Unpad telah menempatkan mereka di jajaran elite paduan suara dunia.
Repertoar mereka menunjukkan kedalaman dan keserbagunaan mereka.
Untuk kategori Musik Kontemporer, mereka membawakan lagu klasik seperti “The Dreams of The Dreamer” oleh David Walters dan “Kalejs Kala Debesis” oleh Selga Mence.
Putaran Grand Prix mereka tak kalah memukau dengan penampilan “Gayatri” dan “Besame Mucho”.
Sebelum penampilan menakjubkan mereka, paduan suara ini juga berpartisipasi dalam Konser Persahabatan Budaya di Edozakura-dori Underground.
Acara ini merupakan perpaduan harmonis antara lagu-lagu budaya, menjembatani kesenjangan antar bangsa dan menjadikan musik berbicara dalam bahasa universal.
Mengatasi tantangan, mulai dari hal-hal baru dalam perjalanan hingga ketegangan di panggung luar negeri, para anggota mempertahankan dedikasi dan semangat mereka.
Ketua PSM Unpad Ratu Zahranie merefleksikan pengalaman unik tersebut.
Banyak siswa, termasuk Ratu sendiri, yang terjun ke lautan pengalaman pertama – mulai dari terbang hingga berkompetisi dalam skala global.
Namun, di tengah pengalaman baru ini, mereka membawa serta beban mewakili almamater dan negaranya.
Ucapan terima kasih pun disampaikan Arvin Zeinullah, pelatih utama PSM Unpad. Pasca kerasnya pandemi Covid-19, mencapai prestasi ini bukanlah tugas yang mudah.
